The Internal Audit profession is going through a period of change, coupled with increased expectations on our role to both protect and create value. Some are being fast-tracked as a result of the global pandemic and rapid advances in technology. Some are being driven by regulatory change, and others by demands of wider stakeholders as transformation, climate change, corporate responsibility and transparent governance are all shaping our worlds. The pace of change is more rapid than ever before, and internal audit teams will need to stand ready to navigate and do their part in protecting our organizations.
