Foundation board members are critical to the success of the organization. But too often, their responsibilities are not made clear, which can lead to a lack of engagement or involvement in areas that extend beyond their role. This session will share the legal and core responsibilities of serving as a foundation board member and provide helpful insights on member involvement and accountability.

• Identify the legal and core responsibilities of a board member
• Explain how to engage their boards to advance their mission
• Identify best practices for helping successive family generations engage with the family foundation board
